FLASHBACK VISION BACK ON January 14th, 2011 - "I had a dream that I was going through a city that was utterly destroyed by it's own citizens. It was a capital city in the vision. It seemed like it was almost foreign or in another country like a city in Europe. As I was going through the city as a tourist, I felt there were lots of civil unrest due to the government rule and order. We went through the town and saw buildings that were still standing but blown to pieces. The structures and foundations were still in tact but the buildings were pretty much gone. "It was taking people to the capital building which was also destroyed due to the warfare that had taken place in the city. 

The boat was full of people and was taking off but we knew it was coming back for us. When we made it to the side of the bridge where we were waiting for the boat to come back to us; one of the workers on the boat mentioned to our group that at 11pm their was going to be a huge surprise for us. LASHBACK VISION ON JULY 21st, 2012 - "I dreamed I was on the Detroit princess boat downtown Detroit and I was taken up into the sky and I was in the clouds. I looked over to the left and I saw 2-3 missiles coming out of the ground. I thought of Russia when this took place."

There has been a shaking and recent uptick in wars and rumors of wars at a whole new degree. A recent headline today reported on Russia's President Vladimir Putin stating there could be an attack on a second country. So where does this open ended war talk leave America and ultimately the state of the church? Will America be shaken in this hour? Even right now, there are power outages happening all over America. There has been warnings about power outages and blackouts taking place. Even as I write this report. Detroit Michigan has over +400,000 residents living without power due to the last nights ice storm. 

As a watchmen who belongs enlisted in the army of the Lord, I have been graced and gifted to see, perceive, and correlate common themes within society today by the power of the holy spirit to not only understand what the Lord shows me as it relates to details about events in our world today but to also see the  small or great, but I feel  really feel compelled to share not only my thoughts, perspective, and insight on world and cultural issues But  overall biblical perspective on issues. Are we ready for what is to come? Is God shaking the nations to get our attention? How should the church respond?

BIBLE STORIES & DREAM CONNECTIONS

MY THOUGHTS: Regardless of what the enemy tries to do against the nations, we need to know God's people will be spared! No weapon that is formed against God's people will prosper! Throughout history God has always preserved those who were called by his name against enemies both foreign, domestic, and not of this world [demonic realm. The boat from the vision represents God's protection and way of escape. Such as it was in the days of Noah, so will the last days be like.

This is the time and season to be where the Lord shows you and to be about your Fathers business. We are called to shine our light during darkness like Isaiah 60 states. As the nations are growing darker because of the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are called to be a bride that is busy being about the Father's business which is to win souls and push back darkness.

Just like in the days of Joseph the Lord used him as a national leader to preserve his own people. The Lord troubled Pharaoh through a dream warning him of a soon coming GLOBAL FAMINE. But because the spirit of God was with Joseph, he was used to understand dreams, interpret them, and get wisdom from God on knowing how to apply strategies to solve a national crisis. If God could use Joseph to prevent a world famine from destroying Egypt, who could God use during these times to spare nations around you? It is those who are in Christ and believe in the power of the cross.

Romans 8:14 talks about those who are lead by the spirit of God, these are the sons and daughters of God. Our Father God is with you just as he was with Joseph, Daniel, David, Joshua, Moses, Noah, and the early church in the book of acts. I believe the holy spirit has been getting his church ready to overthrow and expose the schemes of the evil one. As Apostle Paul mentioned, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness high places.

We are called to be a warrior bride representing Christ! We will win by walking in service love, light, signs, wonders, and miracles. We must be the true light carriers and share the good news to the world before the return of Christ. REVIVAL IS HAPPENING ACROSS AMERICA because the DAYS ARE GROWING DARKER! MANY SOULS WILL COME INTO THE KINGDOM.

Remember, God loves the world and he sent his dear son Jesus Christ to save the lost, broken, and disadvantaged. Receiving Christ is simple. Just confess your sins, repent, and be honest in saying you need Christ as your savior. Romans 10:9 is the verse you can go over as you talk to God personally.

WILLIAM J SEYMOUR was a African American Revivalist who lived between May 2, 1870 – September 28, 1922.  He was a  preacher of the gospel who walked in great signs, miracles, and wonders. He was commissioned during a time of great racial conflict and tension. Regardless of it all, he carried on the mission God had for him. GOD chose WILLIAM SEYMOUR and operated through him powerfully in such a way, where he and along with the help of others birth the AZUSA STREET REVIVALS in California.  Miracles, signs, and wonders would break out in small groups, prayer meetings, services, and even street corners. The glory of God could not be contained or controlled. Wherever the holy spirit lead him the people of God were open for him to speak while other churches were offended because he was a black man that was endowed with power from on high. Unfortunately, over time other churches caught wind of William J Seymour and immediately wanted to separate themselves from him because he was a African American. They were tied to the culture of racial division that affected even the body of Christ at that time and even today. How could a man who loves God so much to the point where he would preach with a wooden box over his head as a way of keeping the attention away from himself still be pushed away by mature believers in the faith? brothers and sisters in Christ? Regardless of their wicked efforts, William Seymour carried on and eventually the Lord blessed him to have his own building where he would never be rejected in that way again.

BERT BRIDGES REPORT - In my opinion the Glory could have lasted longer and we could have scene greater impact from that unique moment in American Church history. Due to my church background and my taste to cross pollinate as the spirit leads to various denominations. I realize in order to maintain continue a true move of God, the love of God and unity in the spirit must be one of the pillars. The holy spirit moves and flows through a culture of unity and true community amongst believers. The book of acts and many other scripture/texts cover this. During this time of great racial tension and divide, the church must stand up and come to it's own dividing line of what it will tolerate moving forward as a body. For the Lord is only returning to a bride that is ready and that is spotless bearing much fruity in her season. 

Will the next move of God be quenched because of division? control, jealousy? or corruption? I pray we all look back as a true body and learn from those who went before us so we can avoid the pitfalls from the past. For it is time to see new moves of God to break out over the world. 

Let's pray - Lord we thank you for what you are doing in Asbury, Kentucky and what you are igniting in the Land of America! We need revival Lord not just on belalf of the nation and it's leaders, but we need revival in our own lives, families, and friends. Let us know and understand that revival and repentene first began with us. Let us judge ourselves first before we look for others to judge. For you are the judge of all things and we ask that you give us grace to judge ourselves first before you judge us. I thank you for this opportunity to write this post during a very dynamic time in history. For America will be saved and it is poised for a might shaking. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are your body and we will legislate heavens will into the earth. America, you will be saved!

I am a Bridge Builder and connector of communities, people, coalitions, ideas, events, and much more. I learned very quickly that my degree and other experiences were simply tools in my toolbox of life. Ever since my father passed away back in 2020, I've come to realize how much of an influence he had on my life positively. As a reminder, I decided to go by the name 'Bert Bridges' because my father was a bridge builder and encourager of people, communities, and relationships.

My path of self-discovery, trailblazing, exploration, and development through travel has prepared me for even greater opportunities and possibilities. It's been empowering to filter, analyze, and process experiences and encounters with the tools I've gathered along the way.
